Project Engineer Grid

About the role

Statkraft is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the grid‑integration of renewable energy projects in Peru. The role covers high‑voltage substations, transmission lines and connection infrastructure from development through commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Drive grid integration activities, coordinating with COES, transmission companies, utilities and regulators.
• Lead engineering phases, including feasibility studies, design, cost estimation, procurement and environmental permitting.
• Prepare and quality‑assure technical specifications and tender documents for high‑voltage components.
• Oversee execution of grid works, ensuring compliance with specifications and managing technical interfaces with contractors.
• Manage preparation, review and approval of Pre‑Operational and Operational studies, commissioning tests and support achievement of COD.
• Conduct power system studies to evaluate grid availability and integration opportunities.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Electrical, Power or related field.
• Proven experience in grid infrastructure projects for renewable energy.
• Strong knowledge of high‑voltage substations, transmission line design and grid integration processes.
• Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and contractual interfaces.
