Project Manager – International Health Projects

About the role

As a member of Orbis Peru, the Project Manager acts as the functional liaison between Orbis International’s headquarters and its local partners. The role involves coordinating with ophthalmology institutes, health departments and the Ministry of Health to drive project initiation, planning, execution and evaluation across Peru.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the timely implementation of projects, managing work plans, schedules, procurement and monitoring‑and‑evaluation activities.
• Develop and maintain a stakeholder register, map health facilities, and engage primary and secondary level partners.
• Plan and coordinate deployments of international experts, design training programmes for health‑center staff and support the development of shared patient information systems.
• Organise project operations and procurement, including coordination with the Supply Chain team for equipment donations and local supplier quotations.
• Schedule and facilitate meetings, prepare minutes, and act as the primary liaison between Orbis and Peruvian partner institutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Management, Business Administration or a related field (required); Master’s degree or equivalent in Public/Ocular Health, Project Management or International Development is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of project management or coordination experience in a non‑profit setting and at least 7 years of overall professional experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (professional level).
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % of the time to regional project sites.
