QA Functional & Automation Engineer

About the role

Kyndryl is seeking a QA Functional & Automation Engineer to ensure cloud‑based managed services meet high quality, reliability and performance standards. You will define test strategies, create test cases and automate testing for functional, regression and performance validation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual test cases for new features and regression suites, documenting results in Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Develop and maintain simple automated test scripts for web and API testing using Selenium, Postman and related tools.
• Identify, document and report defects with clear reproduction steps, screenshots and logs.
• Run SQL queries to validate data in PostgreSQL/Cloud databases.
• Assist in test environment setup and smoke testing.
• Maintain up‑to‑date test case documentation and user story repositories.

Required skills

• Basic Java programming concepts.
• HTML/CSS selectors (ID, XPath, CSS Selector) for web automation.
• Familiarity with Selenium and Postman for API testing.
• SQL query skills (SELECT, WHERE, INSERT) on PostgreSQL/Cloud databases.
• Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Perl, PowerShell or JavaScript.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
