QE Lead – Test Automation (Remote LATAM)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on QE Lead to drive test automation for a freight transportation services client. The role combines strategic planning with day‑to‑day coding, ensuring high‑quality delivery across web, mobile and API layers while leading a distributed LATAM team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of QE engineers, handling planning, task allocation and daily delivery.
• Expand automation coverage for web, mobile and API applications, with a focus on mobile testing.
• Translate automation architecture into actionable execution plans aligned with delivery goals.
• Review automation code, frameworks and test designs to maintain consistency and quality.
• Track automation coverage, stability and progress, providing clear reporting to stakeholders.
• Identify and remove technical and organisational blockers to keep momentum.
• Collaborate with global development teams to embed quality practices into engineering workflows.
• Guide the team in using AI/GenAI tools for test design, data generation and automation development.
• Support testing of AI/LLM‑based features by validating output accuracy and relevance.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, including leadership or people‑management responsibilities.
• Proven hands‑on expertise in test automation for web, mobile and API layers.
• Experience with freight, transportation or logistics applications is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in distributed, global teams across multiple time zones.
