Regulatory Legal Advisor – Financial Services

About the role

TMF Group is seeking a qualified lawyer to join its regulatory compliance team. The role focuses on ensuring that the organization meets all applicable financial services regulations and supports the development of robust compliance frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and assess compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and supervisory requirements.
• Identify, document, and escalate potential compliance gaps or regulatory risks.
• Develop and maintain compliance matrices, regulatory inventories, and monitoring tools.
• Prepare compliance indicators, reports, and management information for internal stakeholders.
• Review, organize, and control documentation related to regulatory obligations and internal policies.
• Assist in the preparation of information for regulatory inspections, audits, and internal reviews.
• Coordinate responses to requests from regulatory authorities and internal control functions.
• Track remediation activities arising from audit findings or regulatory reviews.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support the implementation of related action plans.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in regulated financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of banking regulations, financial supervision frameworks, and compliance requirements set by financial regulatory authorities.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
