Revenue Accountant – Accounting Data Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant who combines strong accounting expertise with advanced data‑analysis skills. You will ensure our financial records are accurate, auditable, and compliant with US GAAP while building the automation and SQL queries that scale our processes for public‑company readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complete, review‑ready journal entries for revenue, AR, PSP settlements, chargebacks, taxes and intercompany.
• Execute monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations, flux analyses and supporting schedules.
• Write and maintain SQL queries against our data warehouse (BigQuery or similar) to validate accruals and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Support PSP reconciliations across geographies and currencies, flagging discrepancies.
• Document end‑to‑end processes, assist with SOX readiness and respond to audit requests.
• Identify manual, error‑prone steps and automate them, including AI‑enabled tooling, in partnership with Data Engineering and FinTech teams.

Required profile

• ~8 years progressive accounting experience with hands‑on journal entry preparation and month‑end close ownership.
• Accounting degree and CPA‑equivalent qualification (CRC or similar).
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP; ASC 606 experience is a strong plus.
• Fluent English and ability to work with a US‑based team during Eastern Time hours.

Required skills

• SQL – writing and adapting queries for large‑scale data warehouses.
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar).
• Understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Familiarity with SOX controls and audit documentation.
