Sales Director – Passenger Vehicles (EV)

About the role

BYD Peru is looking for a strategic Sales Director to lead the passenger‑vehicle business across the country. The role will shape the commercial strategy, expand the dealer network and accelerate electric‑vehicle adoption in corporate and government fleets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a national commercial strategy to meet growth, profitability and market‑share targets.
• Develop business plans, pricing models, channel strategies and annual sales road‑maps.
• Build and nurture relationships with authorized dealers, distributors and strategic partners, ensuring compliance with BYD standards.
• Provide training, commercial guidance and operational support to improve dealer performance.
• Promote electric‑mobility by engaging with government bodies, corporate fleets and industry stakeholders.
• Utilise CRM tools for pipeline tracking, account management and performance reporting.
• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking and KPI monitoring to inform strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Logistics, Finance, After‑Sales and Supply Chain teams on demand planning, forecasting and brand initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in automotive sales, business development or market leadership with nationwide or regional responsibility.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and managing dealer networks.
• Strong understanding of electric‑vehicle markets and sustainability trends.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM systems for sales pipeline management.
• Ability to analyse market data and produce strategic reports.
