Sales Director – Passenger Vehicles (EV)

About the role

BYD Peru is looking for a strategic Sales Director to lead the passenger‑vehicle business and accelerate electric‑vehicle adoption across the country. The role reports to senior leadership and is responsible for national commercial strategy, dealer network performance and partnership development with corporate and government fleets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the nationwide commercial strategy, pricing models and business plans to meet growth and profitability targets.
• Build, coach and monitor authorized dealers and strategic partners, ensuring compliance with BYD standards and delivering superior customer experience.
• Lead EV market development by engaging government institutions, corporate fleets and infrastructure projects, and represent BYD in policy discussions.
• Utilise CRM systems to track pipelines, conduct market research, benchmark competitors and report performance metrics to senior management.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Logistics, Finance, After‑Sales and Supply‑Chain teams to align demand planning, inventory and launch activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in automotive sales, business development or market leadership with a national or regional scope.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth, managing dealer networks and influencing public‑private partnerships.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate market data into actionable strategies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools for pipeline and account management.
