Sample Warehouse Assistant

About the role

ALS is hiring a Sample Warehouse Assistant in Lima. The role supports the warehouse assistant with the collection, storage and handling of rejected sacks, finished-lot boxes and reference samples, keeping the warehouse tidy and compliant with safety and environmental rules.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up, move, stack and store sacks of rejected material, making sure they are correctly identified and located.
• Pick up and store boxes belonging to finished lots coming from the laboratories.
• Organise reference samples and other materials according to assigned locations and procedures.
• Prepare, pack and move loads destined for return, disposal or other authorised disposition.
• Check identification, quantity and physical condition of sacks, boxes and materials during handling and storage.
• Support inventory, sorting and physical control of stored samples.
• Keep work areas, aisles and storage zones clean, orderly and free of obstructions.
• Notify the warehouse assistant promptly of any differences, damage, loss of identification or unsafe condition.
• Provide operational support to the warehouse assistant for storage, return, disposal and reference-sample control.
• Follow instructions, procedures and records, and comply with health, safety and environmental rules, including proper use of PPE and lifting equipment.
• Contribute to productivity, order, traceability and timely service indicators, and carry out other assigned warehouse tasks.

Required profile

• Citizen or permanent resident of the country of application, or able to obtain a valid working visa.
