Senior Accountant – Hospitality Industry

About the role

Howard Financial is looking for a proactive Senior Accountant to support its fast‑growing portfolio of hospitality clients. You will own month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensure accurate financial reporting under US GAAP, and maintain strong internal controls across multiple properties.

Key responsibilities

• Drive month‑end and year‑end close, preparing P&L and balance sheet statements on schedule.
• Streamline balance‑sheet reconciliations as client volume increases.
• Manage journal entries, financial reporting, and reconciliations for multiple properties or client accounts.
• Integrate hospitality and accounting platforms (e.g., Opera, Acumatica) to process daily financial data.
• Identify and implement workflow improvements to boost efficiency and client service.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property accounting, or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, full‑cycle accounting, and internal controls.
• Self‑starter with high accountability, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
