Senior Accountant – Peru

About the role

AT-PAC, a global leader in scaffolding solutions, is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage end‑to‑end accounting operations for its Peru business. The role bridges local operational finance with the regional finance organization, ensuring compliance with Peruvian statutory and tax requirements while supporting corporate reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle for Peru, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting packages.
• Analyse and reconcile impacts across invoicing, inventory, accounts payable, fixed assets and general ledger.
• Maintain accounting documentation, records and SAP‑based reporting tools.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, group policies and statutory reporting.
• Coordinate local compliance tasks such as Libros Electrónicos, monthly tax filings, annual declarations and SUNAT reporting.
• Support preparation and review of tax returns and statutory filings.
• Serve as primary contact for auditors, tax advisors, banks and government authorities.
• Identify and drive process standardisation, automation and continuous improvement, especially for manual accounting activities.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the Junior Accountant.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of how operational and financial processes interact across invoicing, inventory, accounts payable and general ledger.
• Proven experience in end‑to‑end accounting for a subsidiary or local entity.
• Knowledge of Peruvian accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to coordinate with auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Leadership capability to support and develop junior staff.
