Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

About the role

Coforge is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Python expertise to design, build, and maintain scalable, cloud‑native backend systems. The role is fully remote and focuses on micro‑service architectures, event‑driven processing, and high‑performance APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate distributed backend services using Python, micro‑services, REST APIs, and event‑driven patterns.
• Build and optimise cloud‑native applications on AWS, leveraging Lambda, SQS, S3, CloudFormation, and CDK.
• Integrate specialised storage solutions such as Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, or AWS Neptune.
• Implement secure authentication, fault tolerance, and observability using ELK/Elastic Stack.
• Drive best practices across the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, automated testing, and production monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable distributed systems.
• Proven ability to design micro‑services, REST APIs, and event‑driven architectures.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS services and cloud‑native backend development.
