Senior Business Analyst – Mining (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with deep mining sector expertise to support M&A advisory and investment banking activities. The role combines geological knowledge with commercial and financial analysis to evaluate mining assets and investment opportunities across the resources value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on mining assets and companies, integrating geological, technical and commercial assessments.
• Build and maintain financial models (DCF, NAV, comparable transactions and companies) for mining projects and corporate transactions.
• Analyse mineral resource and reserve statements (JORC, NI 43‑101 or equivalent) and assess their commercial implications.
• Evaluate mining project economics, including capex, opex, cash flow and valuation metrics.
• Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a business analyst or similar role within the mining sector.
• Strong understanding of mining geology, resource estimation standards and financial valuation.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• Financial modeling (DCF, NAV, comparable analysis)
• Knowledge of JORC and NI 43‑101 reporting standards
