Senior Full Stack Developer (React & Node.js)

About the role

Applaudo Studios is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with a strong backend focus, based in Lima. The role centres on building scalable, cloud-native applications with TypeScript across the stack: designing and building robust serverless backend services while delivering modern React user experiences. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications with TypeScript, React frontend and Node.js backend services.
• Build and enhance cloud-native, serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB and AWS CDK.
• Develop React user interfaces using established patterns and component libraries.
• Design efficient DynamoDB data models using Single-Table Design and optimised access patterns.
• Develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs following OpenAPI specifications and implement schema validation with Zod.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and create comprehensive unit tests, supporting automated API and end-to-end testing when needed.
• Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot production issues with root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product owners and other stakeholders and take part in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives and backlog refinement.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Developer or Software Engineer.
• Strong experience with TypeScript, React and Node.js, and experience designing RESTful APIs with OpenAPI and schema validation with Zod or similar.
• Experience building serverless applications with AWS Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB, and understanding of DynamoDB Single-Table Design.
• Experience provisioning infrastructure with AWS CDK or similar IaC tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated unit tests with Vitest or similar.
• Advanced written and spoken English; self-driven and able to work independently within Agile teams.
