Senior Next.js Developer

About the role

This is a full‑time remote position for a Senior Next.js Developer at Makai Labs. You will lead front‑end web development, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that improve user experiences and drive business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new user‑facing features using Next.js.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Ensure technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Collaborate with back‑end developers and designers to improve usability.
• Write robust, clean, and well‑documented code.
• Maintain and enhance existing web applications.
• Conduct performance tests and ensure responsiveness across all platforms.

Required profile

• 5+ years of web development experience, including at least 3 years with Next.js.
• Proven ability to work fully remote and self‑manage tasks.
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern front‑end build pipelines.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
