Senior Project Manager - Mobile E-commerce Platform

About the role

Abstra, a nearshore tech talent services company, is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead the launch, delivery and ongoing evolution of a mobile e-commerce platform serving customers across Latin America. The role is 100% remote, based in Latin America with a preference for Lima, Peru, with occasional travel for customer meetings and overlapping hours with U.S. business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of the mobile e-commerce platform and serve as the main liaison between customers, stakeholders, leadership and development teams.
• Understand the app's functionality, user workflows, business use cases and integrations, and communicate its value to customers and stakeholders.
• Manage timelines, deliverables, milestones, dependencies and priorities across workstreams, and facilitate decisions while balancing competing priorities.
• Build consensus among stakeholders, identify and communicate project risks and issues, and monitor project health with regular status updates and executive reports.
• Support customer onboarding, implementation and ongoing relationship management, and collaborate with engineering, product and customer-facing teams.

Required profile

• 7+ years in project management, delivery management, technical program management or similar leadership roles.
• Proven experience delivering software, SaaS, e-commerce or digital product initiatives, and managing customer-facing projects with external clients.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and handling complex delivery environments with competing priorities.
• Fluent Spanish; professional English and comfort communicating with U.S.-based leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with Latin American customers and multicultural teams is highly preferred; e-commerce or retail technology experience is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies and product delivery processes.
• Risk management, stakeholder management, negotiation and facilitation.
• PMP, Agile, Scrum or related certifications are a plus.
