Senior Software Engineer, API

About the role

Scotiabank Perú is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its API chapter. You will help design, build, and maintain high‑quality backend services that power the bank’s digital experiences while ensuring security, reliability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop customer‑centric backend components and services that extend digital capabilities.
• Maintain high standards of software craftsmanship, testability, and code quality.
• Promote secure coding practices, perform threat modeling, and address security vulnerabilities.
• Take operational ownership, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve incidents, improve SLOs, and support on‑call duties.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, solution design, and continuous integration pipelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Typically 7+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
• Strong understanding of banking systems and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work in a customer‑focused, high‑performance culture.
