Senior Strategy & Market Consultant – Power Systems (Relocation)

About the role

Saudi Aramco is seeking a Senior Strategy & Market Consultant to lead power systems planning and energy economic analysis within its Downstream Power Systems Planning Department in Dhahran. The role focuses on shaping sustainable power investment strategies and influencing policy reforms.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct short‑ and long‑term electricity demand forecasting and analyze generation mix (thermal, gas, renewable, etc.).
• Study market trends such as fuel prices, energy transition policies, and macro‑economic factors to support strategic decisions.
• Benchmark against local, regional, and international utilities to identify best practices and strategic opportunities.
• Monitor emerging market trends, interpret impacts, and forecast future trajectories.
• Prepare and present strategic plans, analyses, conclusions, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Lead high‑level proposals, strategic studies, and risk‑management initiatives across the energy and power supply value chain.
• Advise executive management on critical developments and challenges.
• Mentor and develop team members, providing technical expertise on complex market analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience in utility planning, power systems, and strategic consulting.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex studies with minimal oversight.
• Strong communication skills for presenting findings to senior leadership.
