About the role
Join Kyndryl’s global team that manages half of the world’s MIPS and drives mainframe modernization. You will design, build and maintain high‑volume business logic on the mainframe while refactoring legacy code for cloud and mobile integration.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain performance by monitoring architecture and optimizing code to keep mainframe performance high.
- Debug, troubleshoot and analyze complex system interactions to ensure mission‑critical applications stay operational.
- Bridge legacy and modern platforms by extracting business logic for migration or integration with cloud‑based services.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a software engineer on complex projects.
- Strong coding abilities with Java and related frameworks, plus solid debugging and problem‑solving skills.
Required skills
- Java, Springboot, Quarkus, GraphQL, Kafka, SpringBatch, Apache Flink
- Relational and NoSQL databases, XML/JSON, RESTful web services
- Microservices architecture, Docker, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), messaging queues
- Object‑oriented programming, design patterns, Azure components
