Staff Cloud Engineer - OpenShift/AWS (Lima)

About the role

Qualifacts is looking for a Staff Cloud Engineer to design, deploy and maintain its hybrid OpenShift and AWS environment supporting its behavioral health SaaS platforms. The role combines hands‑on system administration with automation, security and collaboration across on‑premise and cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain application software in both on‑premises data centers and AWS cloud.
• Deploy and release updated software versions in collaboration with development and operations teams.
• Ensure all changes follow the company’s Change Control policies and maintain detailed runbooks.
• Evaluate, test and apply patches to keep systems performant and secure.
• Research, recommend and integrate new tools and technologies aligned with business needs.
• Proactively monitor, fine‑tune and troubleshoot systems to prevent incidents.
• Review audit logs regularly to uphold a secure environment.
• Provide expertise to the IT Operations team to improve policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
• Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
• Strong background in Linux system administration.
• Hands‑on experience with container platforms such as OpenShift, Docker or Kubernetes.
• Proven experience managing AWS services.
• Experience supporting Java‑based enterprise applications.
