Team Head Accounting & Tax

About the role

PUMA is looking for a seasoned accounting and tax professional to lead its finance team. The role combines strategic oversight of tax compliance with full responsibility for the company’s accounting records and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file all tax declarations and maintain accurate accounting books.
• Consolidate and produce the company’s financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Conduct internal accounting controls, including account reviews and journal entry verification.
• Coordinate and support external and internal fiscal and financial audits, providing required information promptly.
• Implement corrective actions recommended by audit findings.
• Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly under IFRS and local tax regulations.
• Generate management reports to facilitate clear interpretation of financial data.

Required profile

• Certified accountant with a professional license and at least 5 years of experience, preferably in the retail sector.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local tax legislation.
• Solid understanding of finance and financial reporting concepts.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Intermediate to advanced English communication skills.
