Vendor & Translation Operations Associate

About the role

Montana Language Services is seeking a Vendor & Translation Operations Associate to manage its vendor network and oversee translation and transcription projects. Reporting directly to the COO, the associate will own the full vendor lifecycle and ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery of language services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and refine vendor policies, onboarding standards, and performance expectations for interpreters and translators.
• Manage rate frameworks, re‑engage inactive vendors, and sustain long‑term vendor relationships.
• Recruit interpreters and translators through existing pipelines to meet project demand.
• Oversee translation and transcription workflows from intake to delivery using LSP.Expert, Phrase, and Happy Scribe.
• Assign linguists and transcribers, track timelines, communicate with clients, and uphold documentation standards.
• Continuously improve workflow efficiency and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Experience in vendor management and translation/transcription operations.
• Ability to manage end‑to‑end vendor lifecycles and recruitment pipelines.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with language service platforms and CAT tools.
