Chief Data Architect IB

About the role

The Chief Data Architect IB will lead the architectural vision for International Banking at Scotiabank Perú. This senior leader will define, govern, and evolve data and technology platforms to support a secure, scalable, and cloud‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the architectural strategy for the assigned macro domain, enabling business transformation and legacy modernization.
• Classify applications into functional domains, simplify the portfolio, and align it with the target architecture.
• Oversee remediation plans to keep systems secure, compliant, and up‑to‑date with regulatory standards.
• Ensure cloud‑ready solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient.
• Lead the domain technology roadmap, create architecture patterns and blueprints, and manage exceptions.
• Partner with business and engineering teams from ideation to production to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Plan annual technology initiatives, identify risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Consolidate and modernize platforms to improve cost efficiency, resilience, and technical capability.
• Strengthen architecture governance through automation and proactive deviation management.
• Mentor architects and engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and collaboration.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in financial services or digital‑native banking environments.
• Proven ability to influence executive and technical stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with a bold perspective on technology’s role in business growth.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture principles.
• Experience with cloud migration, platform rationalization, and application modernization.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and security standards.
• Ability to create and govern architecture roadmaps and blueprints.
