Data Scientist – Machine Learning & Analytics

About the role

Haystack News is seeking a Data Scientist to enhance the news experience for millions of users on Connected TVs. You will join a fast‑growing Silicon Valley startup and collaborate directly with the founding team and alumni from top universities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze large data sets to extract actionable insights using statistical methods.
• Build, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models that improve product performance.
• Maintain and scale data infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Configure, monitor, and orchestrate data pipelines and infrastructure tools.
• Run and monitor A/B tests to validate model impact.
• Develop and manage APIs for data services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong mathematical and statistical background with experience on big data sets.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services.
