Database Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Database Administrator to manage and protect the core database infrastructure that supports Kyndryl’s mission‑critical services. You will work with a global team of mainframe and cloud experts to ensure high‑performance, secure, and scalable data platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, install, and maintain database management systems to keep them running at peak performance.
• Define and enforce security policies, manage user access, and protect data from unauthorized access.
• Conduct capacity planning and growth forecasting to ensure scalability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to coordinate database project plans aligned with business goals.
• Identify and implement enhancements that improve performance, reliability, and service delivery.
• Develop and test backup and recovery procedures to guarantee data availability.
• Provide technical support to end‑users and application developers for complex database issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016 implementation and management.
• Hands‑on experience with VMware ESXi virtualization.
• Experience migrating workloads between on‑premises environments and public or private clouds.
• Automation background, preferably with Infrastructure‑as‑a‑Service (IaaS) tools.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management and identity federation services.
