Java Software Engineer – Lima

About the role

You will join Qualifacts to work on a leading electronic health record (EHR) platform serving the U.S. healthcare market. The role involves developing new features, enhancing existing functionality, maintaining the product, and supporting production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new features and modify existing software components.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and agile planning.
• Design systems and solutions in collaboration with the team.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs.
• Estimate work scope and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Follow software engineering best practices and coding standards.

Required profile

• Advanced level of English.
• Experience building end‑user applications and back‑end services.
• Proficiency with Java (versions 11, 21, 25) and J2EE.
• Understanding of scalable software performance and operability.
• Agile experience using Scrum or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with Git and continuous integration pipelines.
• Experience with PL/SQL, JavaScript, and ANSI SQL.
• Knowledge of Spring and ReactJS frameworks.
• Experience with Oracle, MariaDB, and MongoDB databases.
• Cloud knowledge, preferably AWS.
• Ideally, experience using Copilot or other generative AI tools for development.
