Centralized Monitoring Lead – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

The Centralized Monitoring Lead will head the monitoring team for LATAM projects, partnering with project and clinical leads to ensure delivery meets sponsor expectations while optimizing speed, quality, and cost.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Centralized Monitoring team and provide oversight on clinical deliverables across global projects.
• Act as Unblinded Clinical Lead when required, managing IP, risk mitigation, and regulatory licensing.
• Manage project resources including CRAs, Central Monitors, and assistants.
• Monitor and analyze study/site metrics, develop analytics strategies, and support monitoring trigger design.
• Participate in study and client meetings, provide inputs for continuous improvement, and ensure audit‑ready documentation.
• Develop and maintain study‑specific tools, RBM templates, and eTMF oversight.
• Mentor and coach junior staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical monitoring experience (remote or on‑site CRA).
• At least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong command of English (written and verbal) and excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple global projects and competing priorities.
• Detail‑oriented, results‑driven, with strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• Clinical monitoring expertise.
• Knowledge of ICH GCP and local regulatory requirements.
• Experience with eTMF management and risk‑based monitoring tools.
