DevOps Engineer – Azure & AI-Assisted Tooling (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to support a governed, AI‑assisted development model. The role bridges Operations, IT, Data Engineering and Security teams, enabling safe creation of internal tools, workflow automations and cloud solutions using Azure‑native templates.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and assess operational requests, map them to approved Azure‑native templates and coordinate with IT, Security and Data teams.
• Guide users in the secure use of AI‑assisted and cloud development tools within governed environments.
• Enforce security and governance standards, preventing exposure of secrets, PHI or production credentials.
• Prepare and validate pull‑request documentation, technical documentation, UAT materials and release‑readiness artifacts.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, pull‑request reviews, automated gates and release coordination.
• Assist in workflow migration and modernization initiatives using approved Azure templates.
• Monitor compliance with SDLC, governance and audit requirements.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend continuous improvements.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Boards, PR workflows, pipelines, branch policies).
• Hands‑on experience with SDLC processes, CI/CD, UAT and release readiness.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based or AI‑assisted development tools and secure development practices, including PHI awareness.
• Understanding of Azure AD / Entra ID and access‑management fundamentals.
• Experience working in Azure cloud environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in governance‑driven, cross‑functional settings.
