Director, National Programs

About the role

The Director of National Programs will lead Maximo Nivel's Native English Program in Cusco, overseeing sales, marketing, client service, scheduling, testing and student enrollment. This senior position reports to the Executive Team and works closely with the Academic Director, Country Manager and International Programs Director.

Key responsibilities

• Drive enrollment (matriculation) for individual and corporate English courses.
• Manage front‑office operations, including daily cash handling, opening/closing procedures and class sales.
• Generate regular reports (cash box, matriculation per class, class schedule, inventory) using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Enforce program policies such as post‑exam matriculation, textbook usage and attendance compliance.
• Lead and develop a cross‑cultural team of 3‑5 office staff, fostering a high‑energy client‑service culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred); TEFL, TESOL or CELTA certification advantageous.
• Fluent English and advanced Spanish.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in sales or client‑service environments.
• Strong administrative, organizational and goal‑setting abilities.
• Proven ability to work flexible hours, including extended days at month‑end.
