General Science Teacher (Chemistry & Physics)

About the role

San Silvestre School in Lima is looking for a full‑time General Science Teacher with a strong focus on Chemistry and Physics. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging science lessons, conduct practical experiments, and create a stimulating learning environment for secondary students.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver curriculum‑aligned science lessons covering Chemistry, Physics and related topics.
• Organise and supervise laboratory experiments safely.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare teaching resources and innovative learning materials.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the overall science programme.
• Participate actively in school activities and community engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong background in Science Education with expertise in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
• Qualified Teacher certification for secondary education.
• Proficiency in lesson planning and creation of innovative teaching materials.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate students.
• Familiarity with the British curriculum is a plus.
• Commitment to an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
