Interview Engineer – Remote Contract (Peru)

About the role

Karat is looking for experienced software engineers to join its Interview Engineer community on a contract basis. As an Interview Engineer you will remotely facilitate technical interviews, evaluate candidate performance, and help improve hiring processes for companies worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Interview: Conduct live coding interviews through Karat’s platform, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Evaluate: Provide detailed feedback on coding style, problem‑solving approach, communication, and technical knowledge.
• Partner: Collaborate with Karat’s product and content teams to test and refine interview content, processes, and tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a full‑stack or backend‑focused software developer.
• Excellent written and spoken English with professional communication skills.
• Reliable webcam, microphone, and stable internet connection.
• Prior experience conducting technical interviews (data structures, algorithms) is a plus.
