Legal Counsel – South America (Lima)

About the role

Bradken, a global leader in mining wear solutions, is looking for a proactive Legal Counsel to support its South American operations. Based in Lima, you will act as a strategic partner to core business units, providing legal guidance on commercial negotiations, disputes, and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements while protecting the business from external risks.
• Build weekly connections with local and regional stakeholders in Sourcing, Engineering, Sales, and Procurement.
• Manage commercial disputes and claims, delivering clear judgment and actionable solutions.
• Coordinate with external law firms for specialized matters such as complex labor law.
• Provide authoritative legal advice that influences internal operational decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of legal practice in an industrial, heavy‑manufacturing, mining, or engineering environment.
• Experience from an in‑house legal department or a top‑tier law firm serving technical clients.
• Native Spanish speaker with fluent written and spoken English.
• Highly self‑sufficient, organized, and able to identify operational risks proactively.
