Secondary Mathematics Teacher

About the role

San Silvestre School is seeking a full‑time Secondary Mathematics Teacher to deliver curriculum from Grade 6 through IGCSE and IB levels, starting February 2027. The successful candidate will join a collaborative faculty and contribute to a vibrant learning community.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with students and uphold high classroom standards.
• Plan, deliver and differentiate engaging mathematics lessons aligned with school policies.
• Assess student progress, provide feedback and produce regular reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues, Learning Support and the Head of Mathematics on curriculum development.
• Organise excursions, enrichment activities and supervise students as required.
• Participate in CPD, reflect on teaching practice and stay current with best practices.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom and follow safeguarding procedures.
• Utilise educational technology, including Google Classroom, to enhance learning.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., Ed.M., PGCE, QTS).
• Experience teaching secondary mathematics to IGCSE and/or IB level.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Desirable: experience with EAL pupils, strong IT proficiency and Google Educator certification.
