C++ Software Developer – Payments Backend

About the role

We are looking for an experienced C/C++ Software Developer to join our team in Lima, Peru, working remotely on high‑performance batch systems for card and payments processing. The role focuses on developing and maintaining backend programs that support critical transaction flows in a financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain C/C++ backend software for card‑processing batch programs.
• Enhance functionality for credit‑card cycle cut‑over, clearing file loading, transaction matching, hold release, and posting.
• Work in a Linux development environment using SVN for version control.
• Collaborate with management, developers, and QA to deliver high‑quality solutions.
• Troubleshoot production and non‑production issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong C/C++ development experience, especially in backend and batch processing.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux environments and SVN source control.
• Solid SQL and RDBMS knowledge.
• Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Effective collaboration with technical and non‑technical teams.
