Data Architect – Python & MySQL (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a senior Data Architect to design and implement modern data solutions that replace legacy systems and enable scalable pipelines. The role is fully remote and focuses on aligning technical infrastructure with business objectives while ensuring high performance and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern data architecture for legacy modernization and scalable pipelines.
• Build and optimize ETL processes using Python and MySQL.
• Define and enforce standards for data modeling, storage, and architecture best practices.
• Leverage AWS services to create cloud‑native, cost‑efficient data solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to decompose monolithic systems and integrate modern data platforms.
• Embed governance, quality checks, and compliance measures to ensure data reliability and security.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture or Data Engineering.
• Proven track record designing data architectures for legacy modernization and scalable pipelines.
• Strong expertise in Python, MySQL, ETL processes, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Experience defining data standards and best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
