Desarrollador Java Senior – Inglés Avanzado

About the role

PCI Energy Solutions, a leading provider of software for the energy sector, is looking for a senior Java developer with advanced English skills. You will join a high‑performing team that builds scalable, high‑availability platforms used by more than half of North America’s power generation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend Java services with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce best coding practices across the codebase.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align technical implementation with business goals.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance and scalability issues in production environments.
• Ensure proper testing and continuous integration processes are followed.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and help adopt new tools that improve development efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience developing Java backend applications.
• Advanced English proficiency (both spoken and written).
• Availability to work on‑site in Lima (Magdalena del Mar) from Tuesday to Thursday.

Required skills

• Java (core and modern frameworks).
• Containerization with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Microservices architecture.
• SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and OOP.
• Experience with performance tuning, scalability, and security best practices.
