Early Years Teacher – International IB School

About the role

Newton College, an innovative IB school in Lima, is seeking a dynamic Early Years Teacher to support the holistic development of its youngest learners. The role offers strong backing from subject coordinators, a student engagement department, and specialist teachers.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver an inquiry‑based, play‑focused early years curriculum.
• Teach English as an Additional Language to diverse learners.
• Integrate a wide range of digital tools for instruction, communication and data collection.
• Collaborate with subject coordinators, the student engagement team and pedagogical coaches.
• Support implementation of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) where applicable.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and the school’s values programme.

Required profile

• Teaching degree in Early Childhood Education, preferably with an EAL specialism.
• Minimum two years’ experience in an Early Years setting.
• Proven experience teaching English as an Additional Language.
• Demonstrated classroom practice that promotes inquiry and play‑based learning.
• Excellent spoken and written communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Growth mindset and positive drive.
• Experience with the IB PYP and basic knowledge of Spanish are advantageous.
