Legal Assistant – Remote (US Law Firms)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Legal Assistant to support U.S. law firms remotely. The role involves handling client intake, managing case documentation, tracking deadlines and communicating with clients across practice areas such as immigration, personal injury and litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal client intake, collect personal data, documents and case details.
• Perform client support calls to update case status and request additional information.
• Draft legal documents using provided templates (letters of representation, petitions, applications, declarations).
• Calendar and monitor deadlines, statutes of limitations, court hearings and case milestones.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic case files in the firm’s case management system.
• Follow‑up with clients via email, phone and text to keep cases progressing.
• Utilise AI tools to organise files, summarise documents and support smart calendaring workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• At least 2 years experience as a legal assistant, paralegal, legal intake specialist or law office administrator.
• Bilingual English (C1+) required; Spanish strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a professional tone.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality handling sensitive case information.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using case management software.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted document organisation tools.

What we offer

• Part‑time (20 h/week) monthly pay $880‑$1,440 or full‑time (40 h/week) $1,760‑$2,880.
• Hourly rate $11‑$18 depending on experience and practice area.
• Bi‑weekly payments through third‑party platforms.
• Flexible schedule aligned with U.S. and Canadian business hours.
