Materials Procurement Manager – Alpaca/Vicuña

About the role

Quince is seeking a Materials Procurement Manager to lead the sourcing of alpaca and vicuña fibers for its high‑quality, sustainably produced essentials. You will shape the procurement strategy across Latin America, ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality, and environmentally responsible material supply.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive alpaca/vicuña procurement strategy that balances cost, quality, and sustainability.
• Build, maintain, and expand a global network of suppliers, including tanneries, rawhide processors, and specialty producers.
• Partner with Product Development and Merchandising to create and manage a central materials library.
• Analyze global market trends to inform sourcing decisions and mitigate price volatility.
• Negotiate favorable terms and establish long‑term partnerships with key suppliers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align material procurement with product and business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in material sourcing or procurement, preferably with alpaca or vicuña fibers.
• Strong analytical abilities to monitor market dynamics.
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to manage international supplier relationships.
• Ability to work collaboratively across product, merchandising, and operations teams.
