PHP Software Engineer – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

FullStack is seeking experienced PHP Software Engineers to join its talent network and work remotely on project‑based assignments for U.S. clients across Latin America. You will become an integral part of the client’s development team, collaborating daily with designers and engineers to deliver high‑quality software.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate into client teams and contribute to ongoing development tasks.
• Maintain and improve legacy PHP applications while ensuring production stability.
• Design, build, and document RESTful APIs and integrate third‑party services.
• Participate in code reviews, Git workflows, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Optimize MySQL schemas and queries for performance.
• Deploy and manage applications on AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.

Required skills

• PHP (including CakePHP framework).
• LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
• JavaScript, jQuery, React.
• Node.js for backend services.
• MySQL schema design and query optimization.
• AWS (EC2, RDS, S3 or equivalents).
• Git (branching, pull requests, code reviews).
• Jira and Bitbucket.
• CI/CD pipelines, Docker.
• REST API development and third‑party integration.
• Agile/Scrum methodology.
