Remote .NET Modernization Engineer

About the role

As a .NET Modernization Engineer you will lead the transformation of legacy monolithic applications into modern micro‑services architectures. Working remotely, you will ensure core business logic is preserved while improving scalability, maintainability, and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Decompose monolithic systems into independent, scalable micro‑services using proven design patterns.
• Design and implement robust RESTful APIs for communication between modernized components.
• Refactor legacy codebases (C# WebForms, VB, older Java) to align with clean‑code standards and current frameworks.
• Integrate automated CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery and ensure consistent deployments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define modernization roadmaps that minimize downtime and risk.
• Optimize application performance and security leveraging cloud‑native infrastructure and modern design principles.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with .NET or Java stacks.
• Proven expertise in modernizing legacy monolithic applications into micro‑services.
• Strong background in API design, decomposition strategies, and refactoring techniques.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and RESTful migrations.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
