Sales Development Representative

About the role

Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu, is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join its global sales academy. The role is remote within the Americas and focuses on identifying customer projects that align with Canonical’s open‑source solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Handle inbound customer inquiries via email, phone and chat.
• Execute outbound sales and marketing campaigns and generate a multi‑million‑pound pipeline.
• Travel to events and conferences worldwide to present at booths and create face‑to‑face opportunities.
• Collaborate with regional sales, marketing and senior stakeholders to drive results.
• Research prospective customers, identify market trends and map accounts for new opportunities.
• Maintain and nurture leads in the global CRM system.

Required profile

• Strong academic record from school and university.
• Passion for technology and its business implications.
• Commitment to continuous learning, curiosity and analytical mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Result‑driven attitude with persistence and perseverance.
