Sales Director – Passenger Vehicles (EV)

About the role

BYD Peru is looking for a strategic Sales Director to lead the passenger‑vehicle business, drive nationwide market expansion and accelerate electric‑vehicle adoption across corporate and government fleets.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the national commercial strategy, pricing, business models and channel development to meet growth and profitability targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with authorized dealers, distributors and strategic partners, ensuring compliance with BYD standards and brand guidelines.
• Support dealer performance through training, operational guidance and the rollout of new models and sales programmes.
• Promote electric‑mobility by engaging government institutions, corporate fleets and industry organisations, participating in policy discussions and infrastructure initiatives.
• Utilise CRM tools for pipeline tracking, conduct market research and competitor benchmarking, and monitor commercial KPIs such as sales performance, conversion rates and market share.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Logistics, Finance, After‑Sales and Supply Chain to align demand planning, inventory and launch activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, International Trade, Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in automotive sales, business development or market leadership with a nationwide or regional scope.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing dealer networks and driving market penetration.
