About the role
Howard Financial is seeking a hands‑on Senior Controller to lead its consumer‑industry accounting portfolio. You will act as a technical accountant, people leader, and strategic partner for a fast‑growing back‑office solutions provider.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full accounting cycle and drive month‑end/quarter‑end close processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
- Design and implement AI‑driven automation initiatives to streamline workflows.
- Serve as the primary accounting contact for consumer‑industry clients, presenting financial results and building relationships.
- Oversee accounting operations across the consumer portfolio, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
Required profile
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including controller or senior accounting leadership roles.
- Deep knowledge of the consumer sector (CPG, retail, or related).
- Proven track record of implementing accounting automations or AI‑based process improvements.
- Strong client‑facing and communication abilities.
