About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a hands‑on Senior Controller to lead its consumer‑industry accounting portfolio. You will act as a technical accountant, people leader, and strategic partner for a fast‑growing back‑office solutions provider.

Key responsibilities

Own the full accounting cycle and drive month‑end/quarter‑end close processes.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
Design and implement AI‑driven automation initiatives to streamline workflows.
Serve as the primary accounting contact for consumer‑industry clients, presenting financial results and building relationships.
Oversee accounting operations across the consumer portfolio, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

Required profile

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including controller or senior accounting leadership roles.
Deep knowledge of the consumer sector (CPG, retail, or related).
Proven track record of implementing accounting automations or AI‑based process improvements.
Strong client‑facing and communication abilities.
