AWS DevOps Engineer (Linux) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

FullStackFullStack is seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer (Linux) to join a U.S. client’s team on a remote, project‑based basis. You will work closely with designers and engineers, helping to build, deploy, and maintain highly available cloud‑native applications for customers across Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and harden Linux production servers, including patching, backups, and Active Directory integration.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash or similar languages.
• Build, package, and deploy Java applications with Maven, Gradle and Spring frameworks, and support Node.js runtime environments.
• Implement Infrastructure‑as‑Code using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Puppet or Chef.
• Automate provisioning across on‑premises and cloud environments and manage containerized workloads with Docker.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Artifactory and related tools.
• Monitor systems with Splunk, Dynatrace or comparable observability platforms.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams, resolve complex issues, and contribute to shared libraries.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional DevOps engineering experience.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with Linux administration and security.
• Proven track record working on large, complex systems in an Agile environment.
