Designer – Control Systems

About the role

In this role you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project’s control systems and instrumentation aspects. You will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of control systems components and processes for the Coroccohuayco mining project in Peru.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply standard control systems engineering methods, techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Prepare original designs, layouts, details, drawings and specifications.
• Design, develop, modify, and evaluate mechanical components and processes using engineering department procedures and standards.
• Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals.
• Coordinate control systems engineering efforts with specialty groups, clients, vendors, contractors and other functional groups.
• Provide guidance to other control systems engineering personnel when delegated.
• Offer technical assistance to other control systems personnel.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering background with experience in control systems and instrumentation for mining projects.
