English Teacher – Full‑time or Part‑time

About the role

Proyecto Peru Centre is seeking native‑speaking English teachers for full‑time or part‑time positions in Cusco. You will join a well‑established language school that serves both visitors and local students, delivering engaging, communicative lessons to learners of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess English lessons using student‑centered, communicative approaches.
• Prepare and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and assessment results.
• Provide constructive feedback to build confidence in speaking, reading, writing and listening.
• Collaborate with colleagues and coordinators to align teaching with program goals.
• Contribute to curriculum development, placement testing and occasional extracurricular or cultural activities.

Required profile

• Native‑speaking English proficiency with strong instructional abilities.
• Relevant teaching qualification or certification (e.g., TEFL, TESOL, CELTA).
• Previous experience teaching English as a second or foreign language.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small team and adapt to a new cultural environment.
• Willingness to learn basic Spanish to support communication with local staff.
