EOR Compliance & Audit Lead
Remote · Americas
Job description
About the role
This role leads the audit execution layer of the Employer of Record (EOR) Operations Compliance & Audit Program at Remote. You will own end‑to‑end audit delivery for a portfolio of countries across onboarding, mobility, lifecycle and benefits, working closely with payroll, Legal and International Operations.
Key responsibilities
- Own and maintain the control library for assigned countries, defining risk tiers and incorporating legal input.
- Lead audit execution across all EOR domains, applying rating taxonomy and validating AI‑assisted outputs.
- Liaise with Legal and International Operations to provide compliance expertise for risk tiering and regulatory assessments.
- Design and operate AI‑driven audit workflows, including rule mappings, evidence standards and prompt/playbook governance.
- Produce domain‑level findings reports that synthesize error rates, root causes, risk tiers and remediation recommendations.
- Drive remediation to closure, defining “done” criteria, validating fixes and escalating repeat failures.
- Train and support EOR Ops stakeholders, acting as the primary compliance contact during audit cycles.
- Identify systemic gaps and contribute to continuous improvement of SOPs, tooling and automation.
Required profile
- Solid experience in EOR Operations with knowledge of onboarding, employee lifecycle, mobility, benefits and payroll.
- Hands‑on experience designing or maintaining controls, checklists or audit frameworks and classifying risk tiers.
- Ability to serve as a peer SME to Legal and International Operations, providing informed compliance judgment.
- Experience validating AI‑assisted outputs and building feedback loops to improve controls.
- Strong written communication skills to turn audit findings into clear, actionable reports.
- Proven ability to drive remediation to closure and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Self‑managed, able to prioritize across multiple countries and domains.
What we offer
- Work from anywhere with flexible paid time off and asynchronous schedule.
- 16 weeks paid parental leave.
- Budget for co‑working spaces, learning, wellness and gym memberships.
- Mental health support services.
- Stock options and home office budget with IT equipment.
