Key Account Manager - Modern Trade

About the role

Mondelēz International's Latin America unit (Wacam) is hiring a Key Account Manager in Miraflores, Peru, to lead commercial relationships with modern trade accounts. The role develops and implements strategic business plans focused on sales growth, market share and profitability, and acts as the main point of contact between the company and its customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build and strengthen key relationships with customers across all levels, focusing on the right level of engagement.
• Develop and execute client strategies and ensure the achievement of the joint business plan (JCBP).
• Negotiate commercial agreements, promotional plans and trade conditions with the customer.
• Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Category Management teams to ensure flawless in-store execution.
• Optimize resource use to improve operational profitability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least 5 years of experience in Key Account Management in modern trade within the CPG/FMCG industry.
• Proven experience managing modern trade accounts.
• Experience in direct customer-facing roles, increasing revenue and market share, and solving problems.

Required skills

• Knowledge of diverse consumers, practical market strategies, commercial structure and practices.
• Advanced negotiation and influencing skills.
• Ability to turn data into commercial action plans, work under pressure and manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.

No relocation support is available. The company works under a hybrid model, and new hires must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 where permitted by policy and local law.
